CORE10 helped Roberts Broadcasting and Ion Communications with the design and installation of new digital and analog television transmitters, towers and dishes. Unlike radio or cellular facilities, television requires very careful geometric coordination to accommodate the precise arrangement of waveguide conduit necessary to send a clear signal to the tower. Additionally, television towers are much taller than cellular towers - often in excess of 1000 ft - and they require careful planning to meet FAA regulations and structural protection in cold climates to prevent severe damage from falling ice. Backup power and generator noise (especially near residential neighborhoods) must be carefully considered. CORE10 has even provided redesign of damaged dishes and worked with a dish manufacturer to upgrade their product for newer Miami hurricane codes.
