The Wild Canid Survival & Research Center (popularly known as the "Wolf Sanctuary") approached us a few years ago for help with a new facility to support their expanding education efforts. Now this project is becoming a reality as the WCSRC begins moving to 500 new acres south of Eureka. The challenge? Convert and existing 8600sf house into a state-of-the-art education center on the budget of a not-for-profit.

Our solution repurposes almost all of the existing building to support this world-class research center that has played a pivotal role in preserving several species of wild canid in danger of extinction. WCSRC's staff made it clear that their primary purpose is their research and breeding programs. This design will present those efforts in a way that the public can more fully appreciate their important work and the beauty of the animals that they protect. Starting construction 2009.
